In UT 2004 & CS Source I've noticed that every time that I connect to a LAN game it take FOREVER to join the game. Im not sure if this has anythign to do with the new security measures put in place by Vista. It incures the same amount of time with the firewall disabled or enabled. The servers hosting are WinXP Pro, and Window Media Center 2005. When Vista hosts the games there are no issues connecting from the computers.
